Privacy Policy

Last updated: 17 August 2026

Cartage Core Ltd ("Cartage Core", "we", "us") operates the Cartage Core transport management system and this website. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and your rights. We are an organisation based in New Zealand and we handle information consistently with the Privacy Act 2020.

1. What we collect

When you use the Cartage Core service

We hold the data you put into the platform to run your operation — your vehicles, drivers, jobs, loads, dockets, clients, rate cards and invoices. Some of this is business information; some (such as driver names and contact details) is personal information. We process it so the system can do the job you signed up for: dispatch, capture, billing, reconciliation and compliance.

When you visit this website

We collect basic analytics so we can see what pages people find useful. If you send a form (a demo request or newsletter sign-up), we collect the details you provide — your name, company, email and anything you write to us.

2. How we use your information

  • To provide, run and improve the Cartage Core service.
  • To respond to enquiries, book demos and provide support.
  • To send the newsletter you asked for (only if you subscribe — no spam, and you can unsubscribe any time).
  • To meet legal and accounting obligations, and to protect against fraud.

We do not sell your personal information, and we don't use your operational data to advertise to you or to anyone else.

3. Who we share it with

We share information only where it's needed to run the service: cloud infrastructure providers that host the platform, and the third-party tools you choose to connect (such as Xero and EROAD), which receive only the data required for that integration. Third parties who handle your data on our behalf are required to protect it. For example data, you can find their own privacy policies on their websites.

4. How data is relevant to your account

You own the operational data in your account. You can export it at any time, and if you cancel we'll give you a reasonable period to take a full copy before it's deleted. We keep billing records as required by law (for example, GST records under the Tax Administration Act 1994).

5. Security

We protect data with encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and regular backups. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to keep your data safe and to respond quickly if something goes wrong.

6. Your rights

Under the NZ Privacy Act you have the right to access your personal information, correct it, and ask that it be corrected if we hold it wrongly. If you'd like to access or correct information, contact hello@cartagecore.com.

7. Complaints

If you're not happy with how we've handled your information, contact us first — we'll do our best to fix it. You can also complain to the New Zealand Privacy Commissioner (privacy.org.nz).

8. Contact us
